Our Story
BuildHERS is a vibrant networking community created to empower, connect, and elevate women in construction and supporting industries. What started in October 2024 as a small happy hour with 25 women has grown into a thriving monthly gathering of more than 200 professionals — from tradeswomen and general contractors to designers, suppliers, real estate experts, and business owners.
Our growth reflects a clear need: women in this industry want meaningful connection, real collaboration, and visible support. We exist to create space for women to build relationships, grow their businesses, and support one another in an industry where representation still matters. Through monthly events, curated networking experiences, and intentional partnerships, we make it easier for women to work with, hire, and refer women-owned and women-led companies.
Our mission is simple: strengthen the industry by strengthening the women within it. At BuildHERS, we believe in collaboration over competition. When one of us wins, we all move forward.
Whether you’re in the field, in the office, or supporting the industry behind the scenes — there is a place for you here.
Meet the Founder
With more than 20 years in the Phoenix construction industry, our founder has worked every side of the business — from restoration and drywall in new construction to residential and commercial general contracting, business development, marketing, and sales. She understands the industry from the field to the boardroom. After two decades of experience across the Valley, she recognized a clear need for stronger connection and visibility for women in construction. That vision became BuildHERS — a community designed to foster collaboration, professional growth, and real opportunity. In 2025, she stepped into entrepreneurship, launching her own pet waste removal and turf cleaning company while expanding the BuildHERS mission with HealHERS, a wellness-focused division supporting women building demanding careers. She’s a proud mom, an off-road enthusiast, and a bold, high-energy leader who believes in collaboration over competition — and in building businesses and communities that last.
